UPDATED FOUNDATION TRAINING COURSE

For a number of year the PPP Unit has endeavoured to provide training on PPPs in South Africa through a one-day Transaction Advisors' Workshop and a two-day Foundation Training Course.

Both courses were open to those working in the public and private sectors aimed at building capacity and developing the Transaction Advisors' market with an emphasis on Black Economic Empowerment.

These courses have been extremely successful and over 1,500 people have been trained to date. However, as the market has evolved with the addition of regulations for municipal PPPS under the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) and the publication of the Toolkit for Tourism, the PPP Unit has decided to merge the Transaction Advisors Workshop with the Foundation Training Course.

The new Foundation Trianing course will now include the presentation on "Bidding to be a Transaction Advisor" and "Overview of the Toolkit for Tourism". We hope to bring more value to the process by including these presentations in a more holistic form. Therefore the Transaction Advisors' Workshop will be discontinued and the new dates for the revamped Foundation Training Course are provided on the website and on the PPPQ Newsletter. As usual, when you attend our courses we request your candid feeback to ensure that we are adding value and the highest standards.
